Background
Since 1987, our firm has been providing quality, personalized financial guidance to local individuals and businesses. Our expertise ranges from basic tax management and accounting services to more in-depth services such as individual planning, corporate income tax provisions, and multistate filings.

Vice President Tax - Rite Aid Corporation 2000-2003

  • 3rd largest pharmacy chain in the US. $16 billion in sales, 3,400 stores & 160 Companies.
  • Rebuilt the tax dept. after the $1.6B 1999 financial restatement.
  • Managed 13 directors, managers and staff.
  • Contributed to the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit victory in Rite Aid Corporation vs. The United States of America.
  • Responsible for Income, Sales, Payroll, Property and Excise taxes.
  • Reviewed and consulted with senior management regarding significant business transactions.
  • Successfully managed four IRS large case exam cycles.


Director of Tax - Ralphs Grocery Company 1993-2000

  • Largest grocery supermarket chain in Southern California. $6 billion in sales, 450 stores & 13 Companies.
  • Established the tax department for Ralphs.
  • Managed 4 managers & staff.
  • Responsible for Income, Sales and Excise taxes.
  • Responsible for Risk Management department (Workers Comp, General Liability & Safety).
  • Significant property management dealings (retail centers)
  • Successfully managed three IRS large case exam cycles.


Tax Manager - PricewaterhouseCoopers 1986-1996

  • One of the largest Public Accounting firms in the world.
  • Responsible for 145 unique clients & their income tax matters.
  • Supervise, train & evaluate 4-6 consultants and 5-6 associates.
  • Experienced in Corporate, Individual, Partnership and Trust taxation.
  • Provided financial, consulting & tax preparation services.
